McBush says our economic problems are all in our heads. $4 gas is not in my head. The low value of the dollar compared to the euro or a barrel of oil is not in my head. Kids in Haiti eating mud is not in my head.
Everyone in the world (including the Chinese who hold the note on America's $9 trillion in debt) knows that George Bush cares about oil more than the dollar, so a barrel of oil is a better investment than the dollar. All that will change when Obama gets to the White House.

Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain (R-AZ) suggests much of America's economic woes may be merely 'psychological'.
In a recent interview with Fox News, McCain said the fact that America's oil and gas prices have reached all-time high has deeply concerned him.
"I'm very concerned about it…. And obviously the way it's been going up is just terrible," claimed the Arizona senator.
"But I think psychologically - and a lot of our problems today, as you know, are psychological - the confidence, trust, the uncertainty about our economic future, ability to keep our own home," he added.
McCain explained that his proposal to eliminate the federal gas tax for three months would provide Americans the necessary 'psychological boost' to deal with their economic problems.
"Let's have some straight talk. It's not a huge amount of money, but it might be nice to be able to save a few bucks and maybe buy something else the next time that they have to fill up their gas tank, and say, you know, I'm going to be able to afford that little extra expense now," he concluded.
Political pundits remain skeptical of McCain's prescription for US gas problems, arguing that most of the tax break will go to corporations, not families.

Yeah, I mean John McCain's economic policy is run by corporate lobbyists, and McCain is married to a multimillion dollar heiress. Economic problems are always just psychological to the people who will never be personally affected by a big increase in the price of gas, food, and electricity.
Since W & Dick have been sworn in, gasoline prices have gon up 300%.
In the same interval, CAFE standards were held up, Hummers got tax breaks & the tax break on hybrids was eliminated. Essentially, they encouraged the growth of our oil addiction, asssuring that America would have no alternatives to paying up as their friends racheted up the price of gas & oil.
Oh, and they invaded Iraq. When you think about it, they are the best friends that Iran, Venezuela and the Saudis (as well as the thieves of the oil industry)have, and the worst enemies of the American economy.
The Justice Department indicts public officials (Democrats) for mail fraud on the theory that they have defrauded the public of their "good services" by doing embarrassing but not otherwise illegal things. I certainly don't agree that such BS is a rational interpretation of the law, but... Were I the Bushies, that is definitely not a precedent I would wish to establish.
On the other hand, they should at least have to return to the people of the United States the salaries they got for eight years while actually working for someone else. It's not like either of them would have trouble raising the money from their true employers.

I'm no supporter of G.W. Bush (not the sharpest knife in the drawer), and I despise Dick Cheney (sharp, but evil agenda), but I must ask; under what constitutional authority did the POTUS carry out these acts?
Is G.W. the puppet-master? How can an idiot be a puppet-master? Did the General Assembly forget that they run the country?
