CCP Endorses Robin Carnahan for US Senate

At a membership meeting yesterday evening celebrating the end of the Missouri Legislative Session, the Committee for County Progress loudly and enthusiastically endorsed Robin Carnahan's candidacy for the US Senate Seat to be vacated by Kit Bond. This endorsement is Ms. Carnahan's first endorsement by a major local political organization. (She's already supported by EMILY's List and the Teamsters, among others.)

In winning the endorsement, Ms. Carnahan demonstrates once again that she will benefit from a unified Democratic party eager to complete a transformation of Missouri's Senate delegation from John Ashcroft and Kit Bond a few short years ago to Robin Carnahan and Claire McCaskill.

Carnahan has repeatedly misused her office to deform Missouri's constitutionally provided initative process. Once upon a time CCP would have looked at Carnahan's abuses of power as secretary of state as a demerit, a reason to look for someone better. Sadly those days are long gone.

I agree with anonymous. In fact, didn't a judge make a specific finding that she changed ballot language to mislead voters in at least one instance?

Why is this here? said...

Great to see that the CCP is making it possible for Republicans to bad mouth Democratic officials.

Smart people know how to ignore trolls, and realize the Republicans only have empty nonsense to spout in the face of Robin's coming romp.

Do you honestly think the CCP should not post about it's endorsement? Should it be kept a secret?

Ooops! "It's" should be "its". Sorry, Mr. Raterman!
